Clover Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Clover Southern Europe, S.L. ("Clover," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms & Conditions ("T&Cs") outline how our subscription-based electric mobility service works, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.


We believe in radical transparency—so this document is free of legal jargon and written for real people.

1. WHO WE ARE

Clover. is a company registered in Spain, providing subscription-based e-bikes and related services.

Our mission is to make cities better places to live by offering accessible, sustainable, and reliable electric mobility.


2. WHAT YOU GET

When you subscribe to Clover, you get:

  • Standard Ebike Plan:
    • A high quality personal Ebike, specification here: 
    • Included with the ebike are: removable battery, set of keys, and rear rack rated up to 30kg, and a bike lock.
    • Maintenance and Repairs covered under our service agreement
    • Full access to our mobile app
    • Additional accessories available for subscription and/or purchase
    • Insurance covering 100% of the ebike’s value
    • Unlimited Battery swaps at any of our battery swap stations
  • Family Ebike Plan:
    • A high quality personal Ebike, specification here:

3. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES


3.1. Proper Care of the Bicycle

The User must securely lock the bicycle when unattended using the provided lock, the rear wheel immobiliser, and by removing the battery from the bike when unattended.

Any modifications, tampering, or unauthorized repairs to the bicycle’s hardware or software are strictly prohibited.

The User is required to report any damage, malfunction, or operational issues via the designated communication channel in the app at the earliest opportunity.

3.2. Responsible Use

The User must comply with all applicable local traffic laws and regulations while operating the bicycle.

The bicycle must be used in a safe manner, respecting pedestrians and other road users.

The bicycle is intended for personal use only, except for Users enrolled in an approved courier plan. Commercial or third-party use outside of such plans is prohibited.

3.3. Payment Obligations

Subscription fees are charged on a monthly basis as per the agreed payment terms.

In the event of a failed payment, the User has seven (7) calendar days to resolve the issue. If the payment remains outstanding, Clover reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the service.


4. WHAT HAPPENS IF…

4.1. Theft of the Bicycle

Properly locked? Clover will replace the bicycle, though a deductible may apply depending on your protection plan.

Not locked? You will be fully responsible for the cost of the stolen bicycle.

Report theft within 24 hours and provide a police report to be eligible for coverage.


4.2. Repairs and Maintenance

Covered repairs? Repairs due to normal wear and tear or technical malfunctions are free.

Damage from misuse? You may be responsible for partial or full repair costs.

Need a repair? Book a service appointment through the Clover app.

4.3. Cancellation and Returns

Flexible cancellation: Cancel anytime with [X days] notice before the next billing cycle.

Early termination If you cancel before completing a commitment plan, an early termination fee will apply. The fee will be the difference between what has already been paid towards the full time period, and the total cost of the subscription during the commitment period.

Returning the bike? You must return the bicycle within 3 days of cancellation to avoid additional charges. If unreturned, we will consider the user as having agreed to continue their subscription on a Monthly basis.

Clover reserves the right to update these terms as necessary and will notify Users of any significant changes.

- If you have issues with payments, contact us ASAP.

6. LIABILITY & SAFETY


- Clover ensures that all bicycles are regularly maintained and roadworthy before being provided to users. However, it is the user's responsibility to check the bike before each ride and report any issues immediately.

- Users are solely responsible for operating the bicycle safely, complying with all applicable traffic laws and regulations, and exercising caution to prevent accidents or injuries.

- Clover is not liable for any injuries, damages, or accidents resulting from reckless, negligent, or illegal use of the bicycle, including but not limited to riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failing to obey traffic laws, or engaging in dangerous riding behavior.

- Users acknowledge that cycling involves inherent risks, and they assume full responsibility for any personal injuries or damages to third parties that may occur while using the bicycle.

- In some cities or jurisdictions, insurance coverage may be required by law for e-bike use. Clover will notify users if such a requirement applies, but it is ultimately the user's responsibility to ensure they comply with local insurance regulations.

- Clover recommends that users wear appropriate safety gear, including helmets, and take necessary precautions to ensure their own safety and the safety of others while riding.

- By using a Clover bicycle, the user agrees to indemnify and hold Clover harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or legal actions arising from the use or misuse of the bicycle.


7. DATA & PRIVACY

- We collect **only necessary** personal data.

8. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these T&Cs occasionally. If we do, we’ll notify you via email or app notification. By continuing to use the service, you accept the updated terms.
